My love of jewelry started on the shores of Lake Michigan — early mornings collecting beach glass with my grandmother, always chasing that elusive coke-bottle blue. Small glass treasures, softened by years of waves. That obsession never really left me.

Art school in Philly, an MFA at UMass Dartmouth, then a move to Providence for a jewelry design job with Swarovski — designing high-end costume jewelry with their Austrian crystal. From there, DKNY and Jay Strongwater, traveling the world for inspiration and creating pieces sold in department stores nationwide. Eighteen years of costume jewelry design lit the fire for what came next.

When my first son was born, life slowed down and turned inward. I started collecting vintage glass beads and forgotten bits — hunting closeout warehouses, Brimfield, flea markets and tag sales. (My best find to date: a mother lode of German acid-yellow faceted glass beads.) At the same time, I returned to my metal-smithing roots, building a word-of-mouth following for custom silver and gold jewelry.

That's really what I do now — take unworn, inherited pieces and give them new life. A ring becomes a necklace. A lonely earring becomes a pendant you'll actually wear. A favorite aunt, a grandmother, a grandfather — their stories, carried into something new, made to be enjoyed today.

I work with mixed metals, semi-precious stones, and vintage glass beads and bits collected from all over the world — drawn to the colors and qualities others might pass by. I'm a visual, hands-on maker, and I find inspiration everywhere: nature, travel, interior design, daily life with my family, time with friends. My hope is that when you wear my jewelry, you tap into a little of that childlike wonder — the same feeling I had chasing sea glass as a kid.

I make each piece in my home studio in Providence, RI, where I live with my husband, our two teenage sons, and our cat, Kevin.
